C. John Wherry is a Canadian entrepreneur, technologist, author, pianist, composer and philanthropist. Prior to university, he studied piano performance with particular interest in the music of Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Chopin and Schubert. In university, he studied physics. After graduation, he founded an engineering consulting company. He retired in 2008 to pursue piano composition and writing. He is a self-taught composer.
